What Is a Disability Assessment?
A disability assessment determines whether a patient qualifies for assistance programs aimed at improving their quality of life. This process is essential for accessing schemes such as:
- Interim Disability Assistance Programme for the Elderly (IDAPE)
- Eldershield (with private insurers like Income, Great Eastern, or Aviva)
- Careshield Life
For individuals assessed with mild or moderate disabilities, additional support may be available under programs like the Pioneer Generation Disability Assistance Scheme, Home Caregiving Grant, or Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Levy Concession.
How the Process Works

Schedule Your Appointment
Book a session with our accredited geriatrician for an in-depth evaluation.
Comprehensive Evaluation
During the assessment, we evaluate the patient’s physical and mental condition to determine the severity of the disability.
Eligibility Confirmation
If assessed as severely disabled, you may qualify for full reimbursement of the assessment fees through relevant schemes. For mild/moderate disabilities, eligibility for other assistance programs will be discussed.
Fees for Disability Assessment
We believe in transparent pricing to help families plan their care effectively. The fees for disability assessments are as follows:
